What are attachments?

The above picture shows the common attachments of excavators, including breaker, grab, bucket, auger, etc. There are many attachments that are not common in China, but are widely used in some developed regions such as Europe and the United States. What are the differences in concepts?
1. Professional attachments for professional work VS just being able to do it
I believe that many domestic users have experienced "making do". When facing a certain working condition, if their own excavator bucket or breaker, such as a mass attachment, can do it, few people choose more professional attachments to do it.
The attachment in the picture above is called a manhole cover milling machine, which is specially used for milling and repairing the manhole covers on the road. Its sales in China are very few, while the same equipment is widely used abroad.
In China, if you encounter the same working conditions, you may use an excavator with a breaker to break the asphalt around the manhole cover, and then carry out subsequent repair work.
2. Mechanical replacement of labor VS "cost-effectiveness" first
In some countries where attachments are widely used, if the work can be replaced by attachments, attachments will be used most of the time. This is the result of many considerations such as efficiency and safety. In some working conditions, the use of professional attachments will be more efficient than common attachments such as ordinary buckets and breakers, so it is likely that special attachments will be used.
Domestic production proportion of various types of attachments
In China, when encountering the same working conditions, the construction party or excavator user may consider "cost-effectiveness" more. If it is more cost-effective to use manual labor, then use manual labor; if it is more cost-effective to use machinery, then use machinery. However, if the cost of purchasing special attachments is high and the frequency is low, it is likely to return to "making do".
In fact, many people have seen the advantages of using attachments, but it will take some time for the bullet to fly from "seeing" to "accepting" and then to "popularization".
Although domestic users are a little behind the times in the application of attachments, it is undeniable that there has been great progress in the application development and attention of attachments in recent years.
